I've started blogging! Visit Kurt Tomlinson's Blog today.

About Me

My name is Kurt Tomlinson, and I am a Product Engineer at Texas Instruments. I received my Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and my Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with Highest Honors (with a minor in Technology & Management) from Georgia Tech.

I created this page as a means to display my personal projects and interests. My interests range from robotics and circuit design to photography to cabinetry and woodworking.

I will be posting my projects to Open Hardware Hub. My new open-source hardware projects will be posted there. Open Hardware Hub is a website I built with my friend Daniel to make it easier to share open-source hardware projects on the web.

A new side-project is occupying my free time now. Frustrated with the difficulty in finding drink recipes I could make with the ingredients I had on hand (plus maybe one or two new ones), I decided to build my own solution. The result is a drink recipes website called BarStack. With BarStack, you enter the ingredients you have on hand, and that's it. The rest of the work is done for you. BarStack tells you what recipes you can make right now. It also lets you know which ingredients you should buy next to maximize the number of recipes you can make. It's really cool, and there is a Windows 8 app for it, too.

I try to keep this site updated, but I'm not always successful. It takes quite a bit of work to maintain a personal web site. If you'd like to see more recent content from me, you should check out my Google+ profile.

I co-oped at AMD in Austin, TX while I was in college. I love to stay busy, and I'm constantly working on something new. If you have any comments or questions, please contact me. I love hearing from people.
